Catalog description

This course will enhance the student’s performance in Freshman Composition I. The learner will improve skills in critical thinking, grammar and mechanics, and sentence and paragraph writing. Students will also be introduced to and develop a basic understanding of rhetorical analysis and essay writing necessary for successful completion of Freshman Composition I. This course is a corequisite course for students who have not passed the Reading and/or English sections of the TSI and must be taken concurrently with Freshman Composition I. Co-requisite: ENGL 1301 .
