Catalog description

The course will provide a systematic introduction to mobile edge computing. It will cover the architecture of mobile edge computing with its entities and protocols, from the edge devices via middle layers up to the cloud. It will also cover the computing and communication technologies used in mobile edge computing, as well as their performance, power efficiency, storage, and communication bandwidth constraints. The edge data analytics and the security and privacy issues of mobile edge computing will also be discussed. Prerequisites: ELEG 2331 .
