This course is designed to help students prepare to take the Texas Examination of Educator Standards (TExES) in History/Social Studies. Study of socials studies curriculum, materials, and selected instructional strategies. This course is typically taken the semester before Student Teaching, or during the junior or senior year after admission to College of Education and those who are doing alternative certification. Prerequisites: HIST 1313 or HIST 1301 and (HIST 1323 or HIST 1302 ) and (HIST 1333 or HIST 2301 ) and (POSC 1113 or POSC 2305 ) and (POSC 1123 or POSC 2306 ).
