Catalog description

Study text mining principles for high-quality information retrieval, including text structuring, patterns deriving, interpretation of the output, and empirical evaluation of the algorithms. Topics cover data analysis, text categorization, text clustering, concept extraction, text summarization, sentiment analysis, topic models, etc., with their implementation and applications. Prerequisites: ( COMP 2336 or COMP 2013) and ( MATH 3302 or MATH 3023).
