Catalog description

An introduction to the natural language processing theory, including language models, automatic syntactic processing, semantic processing, discourse, and pragmatics. This course will cover typical applications of natural language processing, such as information extraction, sentiment analysis, question answering, and machine translation. Prerequisites: ( COMP 2336 or COMP 2013) and ( MATH 3302 or MATH 3023).
