Catalog description

Students will study modern parallel computer architectures and the major parallel programming models in both shared and distributed systems. Topics include parallelism, concurrency, partition, divide-and-conquer, synchronization, load balancing, parallel algorithm design, implementation, and debugging. Prerequisites: ( COMP 2336 or COMP 2013) and ( COMP 2310 or COMP 2103).
