Catalog description
Introduction to and practice of modern problem solving and programming methods. Special emphasis is placed on implementing robust and easily maintainable programs in a high-level, object-oriented language. Topics include data types and operations, control structures, functions, arrays, data frames, and file handling. Prerequisites: (MATH 1115 (may be taken concurrently) or MATH 1511 (may be taken concurrently)) or (MATH 1123 (may be taken concurrently) or MATH 1316 (may be taken concurrently)) or (MATH 1124 (may be taken concurrently) or MATH 2413 (may be taken concurrently)). Co-requisite: COMP 1121 .
