Macroscopic and differential balances for heat, mass, and momentum. Energy balances and mechanical energy balances. Ideal Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluid behavior. Comparison of the transport processes in laminar and turbulent flow. Dimensional analysis. Prerequisites: ( CHEG 2334 or CHEG 2043) and ( MATH 2320 or MATH 2043).
