Catalog description

Provides an opportunity to develop individual projects related to Native American Studies, such as: in-depth research and study of an Indigenous language, documenting and reflecting on one's work with a tribal government, creating a practical resource for Native community organizations, or other projects which reflect the relationship of the student in question to the Native communities they want to serve with their work. Variable credit (1-4 credit hours, depending on the project). Requirement: a written project proposal that must be approved by the Instructor and Program or Pathway Dean before registration. Prerequisites: Prior NAS coursework at PCC, plus Instructor and Program or Pathway Dean permission, and ( WR 115 and RD 115 ) or IRW 115 and MTH 20 or equivalent placement. Audit available.
