Introduces the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to be eligible for the Nursing Assistant certification exam in the State of Oregon. Explores both basic and advanced techniques to provide care for patients in acute care, skilled nursing, long-term care, and other medical facilities. Combines classroom lectures with hands-on practice in both lab and clinical settings to prepare students for the Oregon Nursing Assistant(NA)certification exam. Prerequisites: Instructor approval and EMS 100 or AHA-BLS certification (current through the term). Audit available.
