Catalog description

Continues the study of music components relevant to a variety of contemporary and historical styles such as compound meter, harmonization, chord function, and phrase structures. Includes commonly-used chord progressions, bassline and countermelody composition, and lead-sheet notation. Recommended: concurrent enrollment in MUS 112C , MUS 192P and MUC 130B . Prerequisites: MUS 111 , MUC 101 or instructor permission. Audit available.
