Explores pain management, fear, and anxiety associated with dental treatment. Covers the neurosphysiology and pharmacology related to the administration of local anesthesia and nitrous oxide sedation. Explores the prevention, recognition and management of local and systemic complications from the administration of local anesthesia including legal considerations. Prerequisites: DH 228 . Corequisites: DH 220L .
