Provides advanced training in motivational interviewing (MI). Explores topics such as: ambivalence, discord, and change talk. Covers MI techniques with specific populations and contexts related to addiction counseling. Prerequisites: AD 120E , AD 121E , AD 122E , AD 124E , AD 141E , AD 144E , HUS 101 , HUS 102 , HUS 108 , and ( WR 115 and RD 115 ) or IRW 115 and MTH 20 or equivalent placement. Audit available.
