Catalog description

This course will provide students with the principles of evidence-based research and its role in practice. It will include the importance of the study, historical aspect, purposes of the research, structure, methods, ethics, and procedures. Students will explore research and theory generation to test and generate theories. The proper methodologies for them. Students will complete the NIH Web-Based Education Protection Certification.Provide a baseline for the research process at an advanced level, applying various methods used for evidence-based practice. Fundamental principles of the research process, including cultural and ethical considerations, will be reviewed. Students will search and critically appraise nursing research studies. Modality: Online, Sixty (60) academic hours. Pre-requisite(s): NUR 5050 , NUR 5220 , NUR 5030 , NUR 5040
