Catalog description
This course provides hands-on practice and simulated clinical experiences to complement the theoretical knowledge gained in NUR 2321. Students will develop proficiency in the safe and effective administration of medications across the lifespan, integrating the nursing process and applying principles of pharmacology. Emphasis is placed on medication calculation, dosage, administration techniques, accurate documentation, and adherence to legal and ethical standards. Students will explore various medication storage and dispensing technologies and examine strategies to ensure patient safety. Sixty (60) simulation laboratory hours. Pre-requisite(s): MTH 1050 Corequisite(s): NUR 2321
