Catalog description

This course provides hands-on practice and simulated clinical experiences to complement the theoretical knowledge gained in NUR 2311. Students will refine their skills in performing comprehensive health assessments across the lifespan, moving from wellness to illness. Emphasis is placed on utilizing assessment data to formulate nursing diagnoses and develop person-centered care plans. The course integrates the application of the nursing process, evidence-based practices, and ethical considerations within simulated clinical scenarios. Students will practice effective communication techniques and demonstrate a commitment to patient advocacy and health promotion. Sixty (60) simulation laboratory hours. Pre-requisite(s): BIO 1011 , BIO 1012 , BIO 1021 , BIO 1022 Corequisite(s): NUR 2311
