Catalog description

NUR 1010: University Life Boot Camp is a required first-year course designed to support the successful transition of nursing students into the academic and professional environment of a traditional BSN program. Delivered face-to-face, the course introduces students to university-level expectations and the nursing profession’s values. Students develop essential academic and life skills through interactive workshops and structured activities, including time management, study techniques, test-taking strategies, professional communication, and stress and self-care practices. Emphasis is also placed on academic integrity, teamwork, the use of educational technologies, and early socialization into the role of the professional nurse. Students will be introduced to campus resources, support services, and foundational tools for progression and success within the BSN curriculum. Pre-requisite(s): none Corequisite(s): none
