Psychology of Pain Management

Catalog description

This elective course provides an in-depth introduction to the psychological management of pain using a biopsychosocial framework. Students will explore neurophysiological foundations, clinical assessment strategies, and evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based approaches. Emphasis is placed on practical applications across diverse clinical populations and settings.
