Catalog description
This course prepares students to provide comprehensive nursing care within community settings, emphasizing population health, epidemiology, and disaster preparedness. Students will apply the nursing process to address the health needs of individuals, families, and communities, considering the impact of social, economic, and environmental factors on health outcomes. Emphasis is placed on evidence-based practice, interprofessional collaboration, and leadership in promoting community health and resilience during emergencies. Students will examine global health issues and resource allocation challenges in disease prevention and disaster response. Forty-five (45) lecture hours. Pre-requisite(s): NUR 2110 , NUR 2121 , NUR 2122 , NUR 2123 , NUR 2311 , NUR 2312 Corequisite(s): NUR 3142
