Catalog description

This course provides students with hands-on practice and simulated clinical experiences in providing care for individuals and families experiencing mental health challenges. Building on previous coursework, students will apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients with diverse mental health conditions. Emphasis is placed on developing therapeutic communication skills, creating comprehensive care plans, and collaborating effectively within interprofessional teams. The course integrates ethical considerations, evidence-based practices, and technology to support decision-making and enhance the quality of care.
