Catalog description

This laboratory-based course is designed to complement CHE 1111 and provides students with hands-on experience applying basic chemistry concepts in a health science context. Students will perform experiments related to measurement techniques, solutions, chemical reactions, acids and bases, and biochemical compounds relevant to nursing and health sciences. Emphasis is placed on laboratory safety, accurate data collection and analysis, critical thinking, scientific communication, and ethical conduct in laboratory practices. This course fosters scientific inquiry and helps students understand the role of chemistry in clinical decision-making and patient care. Sixty (60) laboratory hours. Corequisite(s): CHE 1111
