Catalog description
Economics is the study of how individuals, businesses, and governments make decisions about the allocation of scarce resources. This course introduces students to the principles of economic decision-making at both the micro and macro levels, exploring how markets function, how policy influences growth and stability, and how global trade connects economies. Students will examine economic systems, production, and exchange from both national and international perspectives.In addition to these foundational concepts, the course emphasizes practical personal finance skills that prepare students to make informed financial decisions. Topics include budgeting, credit management, taxes, loans, and consumer protection. By connecting economic theory to real-world applications, students will gain a deeper understanding of how economic forces shape societies and their own financial futures.
