Includes history of emergency medical care delivery systems, roles and responsibilities of emergency medical services (EMS) providers, ethical and legal issues, and patient assessment. Also includes symptoms of illnesses, injuries, medical emergencies, appropriate medical techniques, triage, and ambulance operations.
