Clinical Laboratory Procedures Lab

Catalog description

1 hr(s). The students will be introduced to various clinical laboratory equipment and their use. Students will identify normal and abnormal blood cells of the canine, feline, equine, bovine, and avian patients. Students will perform techniques for a complete blood count both manually and with automated analyzers, cytology prep and analysis, vaginal cytology, crossmatching and urinalysis as related to clinical veterinary technology. Successful completion of this course with a “C” or better is required for graduation. Prerequisite(s): VETT 2217 concurrently Restriction(s): Veterinary Technology majors only
