Catalog description

3 hr(s). This course is designed to provide Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) students with foundational knowledge and essential skills needed for safe, effective, and evidence-based nursing practice. Students will develop a comprehensive understanding of the core principles, standards, and responsibilities that guide LPN practice. This course provides theoretical learning enabling students to build confidence and proficiency in a variety of essential nursing tasks. Structured college laboratory experiences provide the student with the opportunity to practice technical skills prior to patient contact. Successful completion of all laboratory, theoretical, and clinical components are required to receive credit for this course. Restriction(s): Licensed Practical Nursing Major
