Catalog description

2 hr(s). This course introduces students to process and energy technology, fundamentals related to all process industries, as well as common plant components such as pumps, valves, heat exchangers, separators, cooling towers, fans, etc. The course also provides an elementary overview of common process technology systems, such as electrical power generation, electrical and natural gas distribution and processing, and typical manufacturing processes. The course also includes the theory of operation of basic plant components and controls. Restriction(s): Applied Process Technology, Petroleum Technology, and Advanced Welding
