3 hr(s). This course introduces the student to the opportunity to develop the psychomotor skills of the paramedic. The Advanced Life Support (ALS) skills are integrated into the curriculum in such a way as to present skills in a sequential, building fashion. Initially, the skills are typically taught in isolation, and then integrated into simulated patient care situations. The ALS Skills are set forth by the U.S. Department of Transportation National Safety Administration EMT Paramedic Curriculum. Restriction(s): Emergency Medical Services majors
