Catalog description

3 hr(s). This course prepares students with practical strategies for working in early childhood settings serving children with disabilities, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergartners. An emphasis is placed on relevant curriculum design and instruction that will be used in collaboration with families and other education and other professionals who teach children with varying capacities and needs in a variety of instructional environments. Meets West Virginia Board of Education requirements for Permanent Authorization as a Pre-K and Kindergarten Teacher Assistant. EDUC 2220 may be substituted for students enrolled prior to the Fall 2015 semester
