Health and Safety in Early Childhood Programs

3 hr(s). This course provides an introduction to health and safety requirements and responsibilities for individuals working in early childhood programs. Health, nutrition, and safety policies, procedures, and practices are studied. Students will meet state health and safety licensing requirements for child care employees. A current Pediatric First Aid and CPR card is required for this course. Students may take EMMS 1113 to satisfy this requirement. Restriction(s): Early Childhood majors
