3 hr(s). The student will study the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children with the focus on the preschool period from ages three through five. The course emphasis will be on applying the theories and research of child development to practices and procedures used when working with young children in an early childhood program. Prerequisite(s): EC 1130 with a grade of “C” or better
