3 hr(s). This course will survey the fundamental techniques of criminal investigation. Students will be exposed to the history of criminal investigation and criminalistics, interviewing and interrogation, physical evidence, crime scene procedures, crime analysis, investigation techniques, report writing, case preparation and courtroom testimony.
