Catalog description

This course is designed to increase the understanding and practical application of exercise to special populations. The students will learn and apply knowledge on how to modify exercise for individuals and groups based on age, medical conditions, and special needs. The areas covered will include, but are not limited to: coronary heart disease, diabetes, asthma, obesity, pregnancy, and the physically and mentally challenged. Prerequisite: HSCS 3321.
