Catalog description

The Counseling Internship is a two-semester supervised counseling experience in at a site offering psychological counseling services. The internship provides for the application of theory and the development of counseling skills under supervision by both a site and university supervisor. These experiences will provide opportunities for students to counsel clients who represent the ethnic and demographic diversity of their community. Students are required to have the ability to tape client interactions and to provide evidence of a minimum of 200 clinical hours at the site. This third internship course will also serve as a testing preparation course for the exiting exam for the program. Clinical Assessment Fee - $86.50
