Catalog description

The theory and use of light absorption and emission will be explored with emphasis on applications in the forensic sciences. The interaction of light and various materials and analytical methods based on absorption and emission of light will be analyzed. Absorbance and infrared spectroscopy, phosphorescence, and X-ray fluorescence methods are included, in addition to mass spectrometry and gas chromatography.
