This course prepares K-12 educators to use effective instructional techniques, methodology, and assessments for English language learners. Participants apply researched theory focusing on sheltered instruction, particularly the Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol (SIOP) model. Differentiated instruction, lesson comprehension, special education, and parental involvement as related to English language learners are also explored. B-132
