Catalog description

This course is designed to introduce participants to the history, laws, and theories of education for English language learners. Participants identify effective instructional models and teaching practices appropriate for culturally and linguistically diverse students. Participants also develop content area lesson plans and assessments, including appropriate materials, technology tools, and resources for English language learners. Cultural diversity, language acquisition, differentiated instruction, and TESOL program models are also addressed.
