This course equips students to navigate the complexities of close professional relationships. It offers a comprehensive understanding of human development from early life through older adulthood, emphasizing developmental psychology and ecological frameworks within family and individual life cycles across generations and cultures. Students explore the lifespan development model through a multidisciplinary lens. Topics such as trauma, loss, grief, violence, homelessness, and lifestyle changes are examined in depth. The course also addresses the philosophical, cultural, medical, psychological, and spiritual dimensions of human experience, along with approaches to working with individuals across different age groups and the evaluation of complex grief responses.
