The course builds upon previous courses with an emphasis on the differential diagnosis of and interventions for the care of adult and geriatric patients with psychiatric symptoms. The clinical component focuses the nurse practitioner student on the primary assessment and diagnostic skills needed to determine the appropriate therapeutic interventions for adults and geriatric patients with neuropsychiatric/mental disorders.
