Catalog description

In Statistics I, the first introductory statistics course, students define concepts from basic statistics, including variables, distribution, probability, parameters, sampling, central tendency measures, and hypothesis testing. The importance of generalization, estimation, and causation in statistics is discussed. Students synthesize course knowledge by conducting comparison and analysis of two proportions and two means.
