Application of Research-Based Literacy Instruction

Catalog description

The focus of this course is research-based instructional approaches for elementary literacy within the framework of an integrated curriculum. Enrichment and intervention teaching strategies supported by the science of reading are examined for both reading and writing. This information serves as a context for learning about the selection, administration, and interpretation of formal and informal classroom assessments for the purposes of screening, diagnosing difficulties, monitoring progress, and evaluating instruction.
