Communication Strategies for Educators

Catalog description

This course is designed to inform educators about the power of effective communication through awareness, understanding, and implementation. Emphasis is on communication competencies, interpersonal communication, active listening, the use of technology, and written, verbal, and nonverbal communication. Participants analyze instructional strategies and study the effect of ethics and effective communication styles for use with students, parents, and other stakeholders to promote a positive learning environment.
