Catalog description

This course provides students with an overview of an administrator's role in a wide array of special programs offered in public schools today. Candidates examine programs and services tailored to meet varied student populations' needs, including special education, English learners (ELs), early childhood, gifted/talented learners, and Title I. The course also explores college and career readiness, academic preparation and intervention, school counseling, and alternative education programs. Additionally, candidates reflect on the purpose and significance of teacher leadership in today's schools.
