Catalog description

This course examines the history of substance abuse and addiction, including the effects of addiction on individuals, families, and communities. Topics include national and international perspectives and strategies regarding addiction, as well as their relationship to the judicial system. The course includes an overview of the major models of substance abuse, prevention, intervention, and rehabilitation.
