Catalog description

This course includes a general overview of the juvenile justice system and is designed to prepare students to address the challenges of working with juvenile offenders. Students examine the differences between adult and juvenile offenders in supervision strategies, classification systems, and custodial relationships. Students also examine the unique role of the family in juvenile offender cases.
