This course introduces the various components of the corrections system within the criminal justice system. It provides an overview of corrections, including corrections history and the people, agencies and organizations who manage, and support convicted offenders. Other topics include policies and procedures, sentencing, community supervision, and rehabilitation of justice involved populations.
