This course will introduce students to the fundamentals of the sales management process. Students will leverage their negotiation and persuasive communication skills in the development of a sales plan. Specific topics include an understanding of strategies for prospecting ethically based long-term relationship selling, proactive customer-focused selling techniques, and adaptive selling and active listening practices. COM PA523 Communications for Public Administrators 3 This course prepares students to communicate with multiple stakeholders, elected officials and the public in the political environment. Students will apply communication concepts to create messages that are sensitive to the opinions and positions of disparate groups. Other topics, at the state and local level, include uniqueness of public sector communications, public involvement, and internal & external communications.
