Residency II

Catalog description

This residency course lasts 2 weeks, featuring multiple interactions with faculty and peers. The final 3 days provide synchronous opportunities for students to observe, practice, and demonstrate proficiency in integrating counseling skills with theory. Students explore concepts and strategies related to individual counseling. Additional topics include professional and personal growth, theory application to practice, and consideration of individual differences. Students will showcase abilities in intake, assessment, and treatment planning. Students are evaluated on their application of counseling skills, professional dispositions, and their preparedness to advance in the program.
