Catalog description

Acquaints students with the use and importance of geological studies as they apply to the interactions between people and the earth. Includes geological processes and hazards such as earthquakes, volcanoes, floods and landslides. Examines environmental impact and use of mineral and energy resources. Prerequisites: None. Note: Students may receive credit for only one of the following: GLG110 or GLG110IN. General Education Designation: Natural Sciences-[NSI] in combination with GLG111; General Education Designation: Global Awareness-[G] General Education Designation: Natural Sciences (Quantitative)-[SQ] in combination with GLG111
