Advanced Skills for Clinical Externship

Catalog description

Building on the foundational clinical and professional skills of the clinical dental assisting extern. Start of the third quarter of their clinical experience, where students will demonstrate more efficient assimilation within the clinical environment. Demonstration of competency in advanced chairside procedures and reinforcement of studentsÆ abilities in infection control practices and independence. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in DAE261 or permission of Program Director. Corequisites: DAE140 or permission of Program Director.
