Catalog description

Theory of radiation production; exposure factors and their effect on x-ray beam intensity, image production and image characteristics; intraoral and extraoral radiographic imaging techniques and rationale for their uses; patient management and technique adaption for special cases; operation and function of radiographic equipment; principles of patient and operator radiation protection; legal considerations of imaging; interpretation of anatomy, common pathologies and restorations. Prerequisites: A grade of C or better in DAE156 or permission of Program Director. Corequisites: DAE131 or permission of Program Director.
